Hey There! I’m Eric Braun.
I’m glad you’re here.
I’m a versatile, quality-focused ghostwriter and editor living in Minneapolis. I’ve been creating books for a wide range of readers for 25 years.
These days I specialize in prescriptive nonfiction that blends personal story with professional insight, especially in the health, wellness, and self-help space, but I cut my publishing teeth in children’s books, and I still work on middle grade fiction and nonfiction.
I have worked in-house at three fantastic local publishers, edited books for kids and adults on a wide range of topics, and written more than a hundred books for readers of all ages. As an editor or ghostwriter, I’ve collaborated with experts on diversity & inclusion, family building with donated gametes, healthy tech use, chronic illness, parenting, in-the-trenches child psychology, and oh, so much more. My projects have been published by Penguin Random House, St. Martin’s, Rowman & Littlefield, Free Spirit Publishing, Capstone Press, Lerner Books, Book Bridge Press, and other houses. I’ve published short fiction in journals and magazines, and for fiction I am represented by Jennifer Thompson of the Nordlyset Agency. I have an MFA from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
My broad range of copywriting clients has included True Flameless Rentals, WG Content, JP Morgan, Magnet Media, and various hospitals and healthcare organizations.
Besides words, I love sitcoms, bike riding, and camping. Also: punk bands, Ultraman, campervans, and skater Vans. The only poem I’ve had published was titled “Braunschweiger Song.” It was about braunschweiger. My wife and two sons are hilarious and sweet. My dog Willis doesn’t know whatchoo talkin’ about.
After more than two decades in publishing and copywriting, I remain fascinated by stories and love to work with clients to help them tell theirs, whether as an author, editor, book coach, or ghostwriter. I’d love to hear your story. Reach out!
