Hey There! I’m Eric Braun.

I’m glad you’re here.

I’m a ghostwriter and editor who helps experts, thought leaders, and storytellers turn their ideas into clear, compelling books that resonate with readers. I’ve been creating books for a wide range of readers for more than 25 years.

I specialize in prescriptive nonfiction that blends personal story with professional insight, especially in the health, wellness, and self-help space. I’ve collaborated with experts in diversity & inclusion, family building, healthy tech use, chronic illness, parenting, in-the-trenches child psychology, and more. My projects have been published by Penguin Random House, St. Martin’s, Rowman & Littlefield, Free Spirit Publishing, Capstone Press, Lerner Books, and other houses.

I also serve on the board of Coffee House Press, where I contribute to governance and long-term strategy for one of the country’s leading independent publishers.

Besides words, I love sitcoms, bike riding, and camping. Also: punk bands, Ultraman, campervans, and skater Vans. The only poem I’ve had published was titled “Braunschweiger Song.” It was about braunschweiger. My wife and two sons are hilarious and sweet. My dog Willis doesn’t know whatchoo talkin’ about.

After more than two decades in publishing and copywriting, I remain fascinated by how stories shape meaning. I love helping clients clarify what they’re really trying to say—and building the book that delivers it. I’d love to hear your story. Reach out!

What my clients are saying

"Eric edited my book about my journey with obsessive-compulsive disorder. Writing about something so personal wasn’t always easy, but Eric drew content out of me with his sensitivity and thoughtful suggestions. . . . An author himself, Eric understands how it feels to be edited, so he didn’t just note areas of concern throughout my manuscript—he also highlighted sections that he loved, telling me how moved he was by the passage, or letting me know it was an example of what to aim for in other chapters. He took my big blob of a first draft and organized it, moving around anecdotes, research, and guest essays like they were puzzle pieces, and I couldn’t be happier with the result."
