<image:caption>Some of the most important roles in American life have been filled by people born outside the United States. Immigrants have served in the military since the Civil War. Some immigrants have made fortunes and given them away—to create libraries, fund after-school programs, and protect citizens’ civil rights. Still others have held political office or served our nation as ambassadors or—literally—rocket scientists. Here are 25 immigrants who have served our nation in these and other important ways.</image:caption>

<image:title>About</image:title>
<image:caption>Hey There! I’m Eric Braun. I’m glad you’re here. I’m a ghostwriter and editor who helps experts, thought leaders, and storytellers turn their ideas into clear, compelling books that resonate with readers. I’ve been creating books for a wide range of readers for more than 25 years. I specialize in prescriptive nonfiction that blends personal story with professional insight, especially in the health, wellness, and self-help space. I’m drawn to stories where lived authority matters—where the book is informative and practical but also human. I cut my publishing teeth in children’s books, and I still work on middle grade fiction and nonfiction. Over the years I’ve written more than a hundred books for readers of all ages. As an editor or ghostwriter, I’ve collaborated with experts in diversity & inclusion, family building with donated gametes, healthy tech use, chronic illness, parenting, in-the-trenches child psychology, and more. My projects have been published by Penguin Random House, St. Martin’s, Rowman & Littlefield, Free Spirit Publishing, Capstone Press, Lerner Books, Book Bridge Press, and other houses. For fiction, I’m represented by Jennifer Thompson of the Nordlyset Agency. I hold an MFA from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I also serve on the board of Coffee House Press, where I contribute to governance and long-term strategy for one of the country’s leading independent publishers. Beyond books, my copywriting clients have included JP Morgan, Amazon Brand Stores, True Flameless Rentals, WG Content, Magnet Media, AIRCO, and various hospitals and healthcare organizations. Besides words, I love sitcoms, bike riding, and camping. Also: punk bands, Ultraman, campervans, and skater Vans. The only poem I’ve had published was titled “Braunschweiger Song.” It was about braunschweiger. My wife and two sons are hilarious and sweet. My dog Willis doesn’t know whatchoo talkin’ about. After more than two decades in publishing and copywriting, I remain fascinated by how stories shape meaning. I love helping clients clarify what they’re really trying to say—and building the book that delivers it. I’d love to hear your story. Reach out!
